AWARE’s modern, state-of-the-art facility is located at 1285  Rockaway Avenue. The program was founded over 30 years ago in an old garage on Rockaway Avenue by parents of addicted youths and community individuals who had the desire to see potential drug abusers and potential addicts straighten themselves out. Now, as then, their staff is dedicated to rehabilitation and education as a means of combating abuse.
